As Martek’s “Person Person”, Paula plies her trade by creating a warm fuzzy work environment for all of the souls at Martek. With some 20 years at Martek cultivating myriad skills, she has found her niche. The Result: a team of client-focused, dedicated, hard-working people delivering top quality service, all within a happy environment. And by the way, she also works miracles in customer communication and problem solving. Her excitement fix comes from crafting solutions!! Other than that, she has garnered the nomenclature “BMX mother” from years of chauffeuring her risk-taking son, Paul, and his friends to the various biking parks!!! Balancing it all with a smile!!!

Take diverse pieces of real estate, mix a tangly menagerie of investors, throw in some financing hurdles, top it with complicated leasing structures and you will see Ed with a smile at the other end of the deal!!! Honing patience, analytical skills, communication approaches and negotiating talent, leads to successful deal after deal!!! While color blind, he certainly sees the color of success in crafting closures!! Our deal maker tag teams with Charlie in finding solutions to the seemingly impossible. Building teams. Accumulating real estate assets for our growing client base. Needless to say, this has taken more than a couple of years in the trenches!! All possible because he relaxes at home with a lovely wife and fabulously energetic young daughter.

Number crunching since he fell out of the crib, this Chartered Accountant made the leap of faith in 1992 to enter the world of deal making and asset management. At his sharpest after the sun crosses the yard arm, Len supports the Martek team with system suggestions (his), analytical discussions, futuristic projections and the mentally safe haven needed to balance the high optimism of certain key team members. Confidence in his numbers has contributed highly to the infrastructure of trust and dependability which characterizes Martek. Always happy to visit St. Brendan’s, Mom and Dad still miss this near 40 year old!!!

Youthful zest. Infinite energy. Sharp as a tack!!! Fresh out of the halls of the MUN MBA world, Rob brings a keen interest in the real estate arena with the latest analytical skill set adding a ‘fashion forward’ perspective to Martek’s approaches to commercial deals. Focused on the sales and leasing of investment and commercial real estate and having explored this world at Martek since 2007, Rob teams with Ed and Charlie in the transactional world, blending client’s needs and wants. Risking his life on the East Coast surfing after winter storms has him acclimatized to risk. Hopefully, his new wife’s medical degree will keep him out of cold water. His energy serves to invigorate the pursuit of solutions.

Our ‘go to’ person on the sale and leasing of condominiums, ML is the pre-eminent condominium sales person in this market. Having punched in her time at CMHC, 2003 transitioned Mary Lou to the interesting field of condominiums. Highly sensitized to the needs and wants of our client base, she provides personal attention to our new and long term clients. As the industry matures and grows, so has Martek’s involvement in the condominium sector. Persistent. Dedicated. Knowledgeable. Mother, wife and deal maker in the evolving field of fine condominium homes.

Wordsmith!! Creative language craftsperson!! Mae has found her niche as the ‘meat and potatoes’ communicator behind Charlie’s razor sharp mind and lightening fast speech. Trained in the halls of one of St. John’s most prestigious local law firms, Mae changed her reality and in the early 90’s became a key team player at Martek. Well versed in all aspects of condominium, insurance, leasing and sales documentation, Mae oversees leasing at Terrace and generates the legal and deal-making verbiage essential to effect successful transactions. As part of the deal initiation team, Mae works closely with both Charlie and Ed in the fast paced environment of commercial real estate strategy. Days end, she ‘accelerates’ home to share the evening with her new found soon-to-be-trained dog and her well-trained little drummer boy!!!

Gabrielle is our ‘newbie’!! We snatched her from the arts sector and wisely decided to add another wordsmith, albeit it bilingual, to our deal making group. Providing Ed with the support in managing, leasing and selling activities and to craft letters, leases and agreements, Gabrielle has fast tracked herself to being a key player in the front line action. Emboldened by her creative energy, she revels in the tweaking of our office art before passing through the exits usually well after closing time.

Details. Costs. Schedules. Contracts. After 8 years of negotiations with tenants, contractors, suppliers and professionals, Wayne is now at the top of his game. Leasing guru for Atlantic Place throughout its transition, Wayne was challenged to accommodate new tenants' construction schedules with the quiet enjoyment of those already settled ... and did!!

From a history of understanding and coordinating the multiple applications to the City, effecting timelines and construction schedules, monitoring costs and keeping all the varying players communicating and focused comes naturally. Being father, grandfather and happy partner to Lynn, he had little choice!!!
